John Barrow for Congress – “Bull”
A Democrat in rural Georgia, Congressman John Barrow is no stranger to tough races. After winning re-election by less than 1,000 votes in the landmark Democratic election year of 2006, Congressman Barrow turned to Terris Barnes & Walters to navigate his 2008 re-election campaign through a primary where he faced a challenge from the left to a general election where the Republican presidential nominee would almost certainly carry his home state.
“Bull” not only delivered John Barrow’s message regarding his stances on issues important to farmers and other rural Georgians, but also showed that he was in tune with the values, culture and lifestyle of his rural constituents. Congressman Barrow won re-election in both 2008 as well as in 2010, when he bucked the national trend, winning 57% of the vote while many southern Democrats were defeated as Republicans took control of Congress.
